Cash machine ram-raid destroys building society.

In the early hours of Friday, a branch of a building society in Towcester suffered significant damage following a ram-raid incident. Authorities reported that a telehandler, stolen from Payne's Nurseries on Watling Street, was used to remove an ATM from the Nationwide Building Society branch located in Sponne Arcade.

A spokesperson for Nationwide confirmed awareness of the situation and emphasized that efforts are underway to restore the branch and replace the ATM as quickly as possible. Customers are advised that alternative face-to-face services are available at nearby locations in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, or Northampton.

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Nationwide reiterated its commitment to reopening the branch promptly and ensuring normal service resumes for its customers.
