Major Eitan Orbach, 45, an IDF reservist, tragically lost his life in a car accident while returning home from a military operation in the Jordan Valley on Friday morning, according to announcements from the Beit She'an municipality.

Orbach is survived by his wife and five children. His eldest daughter was due to be married just two weeks following the incident.

The funeral is scheduled to take place after Shabbat at the military cemetery in Beit She'an, the city where Orbach lived. The municipality expressed their sorrow on social media, highlighting his contributions as a social activist and his prominent role in the local community.

"Eitan was deeply involved in community activities and was widely respected. On behalf of the city's residents and municipal staff, we offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife Nechama and his children Tzion, Da'el, Tsari, Karmi, and Argaman," the statement read.

According to reports, Orbach's vehicle overturned on his way home. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by medical personnel. The Israel Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
