Negotiations between Ukrainian and American representatives aimed at finding a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine have concluded, according to early Friday reports from the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, citing sources within the Ukrainian delegation.
The Ukrainian side in Miami, Florida, included Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council, and Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff.
In a video address on Thursday evening, President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted that the delegations objective in the United States was to review discussions held in Moscow earlier this week between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Steve Witkoff, meeting with Putin for the sixth time, outlined the latest US position on measures to end Russias ongoing military campaign in Ukraine, which has lasted over three and a half years.
Earlier, a delegation led by Umerov in Florida met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Witkoff, and Kushner to explore potential steps toward a resolution of the conflict.
