Ferry travel between the Isle of Man and Lancashire will face interruptions on Friday due to strong winds over the Irish Sea. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company announced that the 14:30 GMT journey from Heysham to Douglas aboard the Manxman has been cancelled in anticipation of severe weather conditions.
The vessel's evening return to Heysham at 20:30 has also been called off, the company confirmed.
The Ronaldsway Met Office warned that gusts reaching 50 mph (80 km/h) are expected across the island during the afternoon.
Passengers affected by the cancelled sailings can modify their bookings online or through the companys reservations team.
Ferry crossings scheduled for Saturday, including the 03:00 Heysham to Douglas departure, are currently planned to operate as normal.
