Authorities report that a two-year-old child sustained significant facial injuries following a dog attack in Swindon, Wiltshire. The incident occurred on Homington Avenue on Sunday, prompting emergency responders to rush the child to the hospital.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed the severity of the injuries, stating, "The child suffered serious facial trauma and was transported to a medical facility."
A woman in her twenties was taken into custody on suspicion of being responsible for a dog dangerously out of control that caused injury. She has been released on bail while investigations continue.
The police have not disclosed the breed of the dog involved in the attack.
