The highest level of tide alert has been issued for Saturday morning, with potential disturbances also expected on Friday evening. The Jersey Meteorological Office has raised a red warning for the high tide at 06:54 GMT, signaling possible disruptions. Large waves may breach sea defenses along the southern, eastern, and western shores, and certain coastal roads could be closed as a precaution.
An orange warning has also been declared for the high tide at 18:35 on Friday. Strong winds combined with high waves could push seawater and debris over sea walls, creating hazardous conditions along the coastline.
Roads may be covered with seawater and debris, and localized flooding is possible during these periods. Islanders are advised to exercise caution, especially for about an hour before and after the high tides, avoiding coastal areas at risk.
Residents are encouraged to plan extra travel time and anticipate possible disruptions during these high tide events.
