A planning application has been filed for more than 170 residences within the larger Great Haddon development close to Peterborough. If granted approval, these homes will become part of the expansive project first greenlit by Peterborough City Council in 2015.
The complete Great Haddon scheme is expected to feature 5,350 homes, a shopping complex, three primary schools, and a secondary school. The newly proposed 172 homes would be located on land north of Norman Cross, along London Road, near Yaxley.
The application was submitted by Vistry East Anglia to Peterborough City Council on November 28. The proposal includes 28 affordable units, divided between options for affordable rent and shared ownership, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The housing mix would consist of one-bedroom apartments, two- and three-bedroom terraced houses, semi-detached and detached homes, as well as four-bedroom family houses designed for larger households.
Residents and interested parties can follow updates on Peterborough news through BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
