Alanis Morissette has been confirmed as the final main act for next years Lytham Festival in Lancashire. The seven-time Grammy winner was originally scheduled to headline last year but had to cancel due to adverse weather conditions. She is now set to take the stage on the Fylde Coast on 2 July.
Other previously announced headliners include Teddy Swims, Michael Bubl, Pet Shop Boys, and Pitbull.
Festival co-founder Peter Taylor expressed that Morissette was eager to return after her previous cancellation, as she felt she had disappointed fans. "It was heartbreaking last year because the show had sold out with 25,000 fans eager to attend. We were determined to bring her back," Taylor said. He added, "We hope the weather treats us better next time."
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Lytham Festival promises "five unique nights, each with its own vibe," according to Taylor, who reminded attendees to ensure they purchase tickets for the correct dates. He also noted that additional supporting acts would be revealed in the coming months.
Alongside the festival, Morissette will perform other tour dates across the UK and Ireland next summer, with support from London rock band Skunk Anansie. For her Glasgow show on 30 June, British indie rock group Wet Leg will also join her performance.
