Chris Pratt Observed His Future Wife in Church Before They Started Dating

Chris Pratt recently set the record straight regarding how he first met Katherine Schwarzenegger, clarifying that it wasnt his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver, who introduced them. Instead, he encountered Katherine at a Hollywood church while he was casually noticing other women.

At the time, Pratt was accompanied by his eldest son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris. Speaking with Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends, he addressed a persistent rumor about their first meeting, saying, Thats actually not true. Lets settle it now.

Pratt described the moment: I was at a church in Hollywood, and I looked over, and I saw her. And I know youre not supposed to be, like, checking out girls at church, but Im only human. And I thought, Wow, shes really cute. He added that his son Jack was with him, noting, I was there with my son Jack, and I picked him up from the kids program, and Jack and I met Katherine basically at the same time. And, yes, the rest is history.

Rumors about their relationship began in 2018 after the couple was seen having a picnic in Santa Barbara, California. In December of that year, Pratt publicly celebrated Katherines birthday on Instagram with a heartfelt post featuring photos of them together. The following January, the couple announced their engagement, and in June 2019, they married in an intimate ceremony in Montecito, California.

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger now share three children: Lyla, Eloise, and Ford.
