Chris Pratt Reveals How He Spotted His Future Wife in Church

Chris Pratt recently cleared up a common misconception about how he met his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Contrary to rumors, he did not meet her through his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver. Instead, their first encounter took place at a church in Hollywood, where Pratt admitted he was initially noticing other women before his gaze landed on Katherine.

At that moment, Pratt was accompanied by his eldest son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris. Speaking with Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends, he addressed the false narrative surrounding their introduction. Thats actually not true. Lets settle it now, Pratt said, explaining that their paths crossed organically at church.

He described the moment, saying, I was at a church in Hollywood, and I looked over, and I saw her. I know youre not supposed to be checking out girls at church, but Im only human. And I thought, Wow, shes really cute. Pratt also shared that Jack was with him during the encounter. I was there with my son Jack, and I picked him up from the kids program, and Jack and I met Katherine basically at the same time. And, yes, the rest is history, he said.

Their relationship rumors surfaced in 2018 after they were spotted on a picnic in Santa Barbara, California. In December of that year, Pratt publicly celebrated Katherines birthday on Instagram with a collage of their photos and a heartfelt message. The following January, the couple announced their engagement, and by June 2019, they married in a private ceremony in Montecito, California. They now share three children: Lyla, Eloise, and Ford.
