'Fire Country' Organizes 'SEAL Team' Reunion — and Introduces New Love Triangle for Bode?

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Fire Country Season 4, Episode 7, Best Mom in the World.

After being released from parole, Bode (Max Thieriot) faces an uncertain future. I never really thought Id get here, so I didnt make any plans. Trying to figure it out, he confides to Jake (Jordan Calloway) and Eve (Jules Latimer) in the December 5 episode, showcasing the strong dynamic among the trio.

By episodes end, Bode seems to find purpose in mentoring a troubled teenTyler (Conor Sherry), the son of Chloe (Alona Tal), who is set to debut in the December 12 episode. Bode and Jake encounter 17-year-old Tyler after he breaks into a condemned building and falls through the floor. They rescue him safely, but Tyler, frustrated with firefighters for failing to stop the Zabel Ridge fire, initially refuses help and resists leaving without his belongings. He even lashes out at Bode and Jake before accidentally damaging a gas line, creating a dangerous fire situation.

Working together, the team manages to get Tyler out safely, but he still requires medical attention. During the hospital visit, Bode meets Tylers stepfather, Landon (Josh McDermitt), who admits he and Tylers mom arent formally married. Tyler struggles with grief and trauma: his biological father died before COVID, their house was destroyed in the fire, and the family had to downsize. Bode informs Landon about Tylers runaway attempt and promises to stay in touch to help guide him.

Chloe, portrayed by Alona Tal, is significant because she previously played Thieriots characters love interest on SEAL Team. The storyline sets up a potential love triangle, as Bode and Chloe had a history in high school. The December 12 episode, titled Fresh Start, will explore this dynamic further, featuring Bode participating in a high school drunk-driving drill that reconnects him with a former classmate.

The episode also hints at the return of Luke, Bodes uncle, suggesting Michael Trucco will reprise his role. Bode mentions that Luke is moving back from Japan, setting the stage for his involvement in guiding Bode and influencing his professional growth. Executive producer Tia Napolitano explained that Lukes return will explore his evolving role within the family while highlighting his qualities as both a firefighter and a mentor.

Fire Country airs Fridays at 9/8c on CBS.
