Julia Roberts Reflects on the 'Amazing' Experience of Watching Her Twins Hazel and Phinnaeus Turn 21

At the 2025 Gotham Film Awards in New York, Julia Roberts shared her joy in watching her children grow. The 58-year-old actress, known for Leave the World Behind, spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her twins, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter, who recently turned 21.

"It's incredible. Truly astonishing," Roberts said, reflecting on their journey from childhood to adulthood. "Seeing any child grow is special, but witnessing your own children develop and hearing their perspective on life is remarkable."

To mark the milestone, Roberts posted a nostalgic photo on Instagram. She captioned it: "These game changers, life alterers, heart expanders once were 1 and now are 21! That was fast. Happy Birthday my dears."

Roberts also has a son, Henry Daniel, born in June 2007, with her husband, cameraman Daniel Moder. She has consistently emphasized her commitment to family over the years. In October 2022, she told CBS Sunday Morning that while acting fulfilled a dream, building a life with her husband and children was equally meaningful. "Coming home to them at the end of the day is the best part," she explained.

In an October appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Roberts discussed her children moving out. "It's all fun, honestly," she said. "I love spending time with them and cherish the moments we've had despite the empty nest."

The actress also shared plans for her next career steps. With her children grown, she expressed interest in pursuing another stage play, appreciating the focused dedication it requires, which differs from film work.
