Khloe Kardashian Admits Fear of the Dark After Spooky 'Ghost' Encounter Keeps Her Awake at Night

Khlo Kardashian has revealed that she has been unable to sleep with the lights off for years after a frightening experience at a former rental home in California left her deeply unsettled. The 41-year-old shared the story on her podcast, Khlo in Wonder Land, during a conversation with her friend Savas Oguz.

The unsettling incident occurred while Khlo and her daughter True, who was an infant at the time, were staying in a Calabasas rental home during renovations of their own house. The home, located in the exclusive community of The Oaks, featured a narrow wooden hallway connecting Trues room to Khlos bedroom.

"It was the scariest thing. I was sleeping, and I heard footsteps in the hallway," Khlo recalled. Initially thinking it was True, she checked the baby monitor and saw that her daughter was still asleep. Trying to dismiss it, she went back to bed, but then felt a small hand running through her hair. "I closed my eyes and prayed, 'Please don't be there,' and when I opened them, nothing was there," she said. The experience was so disturbing that she has avoided sleeping in the dark ever since.

Khlo also mentioned another eerie event in the same house. She found the jacuzzi drained and a Barbie doll left at the bottom, alongside hearing unexplained footsteps in the hallways, reinforcing her belief that the property was haunted.

At the time, Khlo was residing in the rental home while her own residence was being renovated in June 2019. She has since moved into a newly rebuilt Hidden Hills property, a $17 million custom-built home featuring a gym, home theater, and walk-in closet.

The reality star has showcased her impressive walk-in pantry, converted from a garage, designed by Joanna Teplin and Clea Shearer of The Home Edit. The space features organized shelving with snacks for her children, True, 7, and Tatum, 2, and emphasizes a streamlined and neutral aesthetic. Khlo described it as a place "where all the magic happens" in her home.

Khlos mother, Kris Jenner, praised her daughters efforts, noting that Khlo managed every detail of the home herself, from planning to organization, demonstrating her creativity and dedication in creating a space for her family.
