Mandy Moore Set to Star in New Erotic Thriller Series 'Teach Me' by Lisa Rubin Coming to Peacock and A24

Mandy Moore will headline a new erotic thriller series in development at Peacock. The project, titled Teach Me, centers on a provocative story about a teacher who exerts influence over a vulnerable but unpredictable student, only for the dynamic to shift when the student begins to take control, according to the official series description.

The show promises a suspenseful and twisted cat-and-mouse narrative exploring the intersections of desire, authority, and obsession.

Lisa Rubin is set as the writer and executive producer of the series. Moore will also serve as an executive producer alongside Rubin, with Jessica Rhoades and Alison Mo Massey of Pacesetter joining the production team. Universal Television and A24 are producing the series.

This role marks Moores return to NBCUniversal, following her acclaimed performance on the hit series This Is Us, for which she earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. She also appeared in the second season of Peacocks Dr. Death in 2023. Moores upcoming work includes a pro football drama series at Hulu, produced by This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman.

Moores film credits include Tangled, Midway, The Darkest Minds, 47 Meters Down, Saved!, and A Walk to Remember.

Rubin, who previously created the Netflix series Gypsy starring Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup, and Lucy Boynton, has also written film adaptations such as Under the Influence and The Wife Upstairs. She recently wrote a biopic about Janis Joplin, directed by James Ponsoldt and starring Shailene Woodley.

Alongside Teach Me, Pacesetter is developing other Peacock projects including the espionage drama Ponies featuring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson. Their upcoming slate also includes a new Charlie Brooker series and a limited series starring Josh Hartnett, both for Netflix. Past Pacesetter productions include Sharp Objects, Utopia, and the second season of Dirty John.
