Meghan Markle's father Thomas in critical condition after emergency surgery

Meghan Markles father, Thomas Markle, is currently in the intensive care unit following an urgent surgical procedure, according to his son. The 81-year-old was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after falling ill at his residence in the Philippines.

He reportedly underwent surgery lasting approximately three hours on Wednesday and remains in critical care while preparing for a follow-up operation to remove a blood clot, Thomas Markle Jr. told the Daily Mail.

The Duchess of Sussex, who has had limited contact with her father since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, has not commented on the situation.

I took my father to a nearby hospital, where they conducted several scans and determined that his life was in immediate danger, Thomas Jr. said. He added that his father was then moved by ambulance to a larger hospital to undergo emergency surgery.

Thomas Jr. requested that people around the world keep his father in their thoughts during this critical time.
