StudioCanal has revealed plans to develop a feature film based on the beloved Mr. Men Little Miss book series. The studio, known for its collaboration with Heyday Films on the hit Paddington movies, is reuniting with the same producers for this new adaptation of Roger Hargreaves classic stories.

Both the production companies and the official Mr. Men Little Miss social media accounts confirmed that the film project is underway. StudioCanal emphasized that this movie follows the success of the animated series available on YouTube, as well as a second animated series currently in development for television. These efforts highlight Sanrios goal to expand the Mr. Men Little Miss brand into various entertainment formats while keeping its publishing roots intact.

Sanrio, which acquired the Mr. Men Little Miss brand in 2011, has grown the franchise to include over 90 characters, including special editions inspired by famous cultural figures. The series now enjoys an international fanbase across the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and Asia, with merchandise ranging from toys and fashion to health and beauty products.

Adam Hargreaves, son of the series creator, expressed excitement over the adaptation: Its incredible to imagine the Mr. Men and Little Miss characters on the big screen. My father would have been thrilled, and Im proud that his creations are reaching a new generation in this way.

The franchises Instagram account also shared the news in a playful post, highlighting characters reactions to the upcoming movie and generating anticipation among fans.
