Sara Foster Paused Her Daughter’s Tennis Practice to Have Her Facetime with a Major Star

At the 2025 Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City, Gayle King recounted a funny moment involving Sara Foster, known from Barely Famous. Before presenting Sara and her sister Erin Foster with the Launch of the Year Award for their shoe collaboration with Favorite Daughter, King shared a story about Sara interrupting her daughters tennis practice to Facetime a famous star.

Backstage, Sara encountered tennis sensation Coco Gauff, who was receiving the Style Influencer of the Year Award. Without hesitation, Sara asked the three-time Grand Slam champion to connect with her daughter over Facetime. King described the scene: She says to Coco, Could I just Facetime my daughter? Would you talk to my daughter?

During the call, Sara encouraged her daughter to leave the tennis court: Her daughter is on the tennis court, [and] she goes, Get her off the tennis court now! Despite the rush, Coco kindly took the time to greet Saras daughter, a gesture King praised, saying, Shes a very nice woman.

This lighthearted moment highlights Saras dedication as a mother, interrupting daily activities so her children can have memorable experiences. Sara shares two daughters, Valentina, 14, and Josephine, 9, with ex-husband Tommy Haas.

In a recent interview, Sara admitted her kids dont always see her as cool. She recounted her daughter saying, Its just not fair that I dont have cool parents, to which Sara responded, Your parents are kind of cool! She added humorously that maybe being on a show like Love Island would earn her more street cred.
