Miley Cyrus has surprised fans by announcing her engagement to musician Maxx Morando, as reported on December 3 by Us Weekly. A source revealed that Cyrus had never imagined she would marry again following her split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in 2019.

The couple, who met on a blind date, have been together for approximately four years. Miley never thought she would get married again, and Maxx changed everything for her, a source shared. They enjoy a strong, private relationship.

Insiders say the proposal occurred quietly in early November. The engagement was publicly confirmed on December 2, after Cyrus showcased a custom Jacquie Aiche ring at the Hollywood premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Throughout their relationship, Cyrus and Morando have maintained a low profile, though glimpses of their romance have appeared in Cyruss visual album, Something Beautiful. Morando, a member of the band Liily, collaborated with Cyrus on writing and producing the project. He also played drums in her End of the World music video and shared an on-screen kiss with her in the Something Beautiful film.

Reflecting on that marriage, Cyrus explained on the Howard Stern Show that their union was partly influenced by coping with the 2018 Woolsey fire that destroyed their Malibu home. Despite her love for Hemsworth, personal challenges and conflicts led to the marriage ending.
