Evanescence is gearing up for an electrifying year with the announcement of their first global headlining tour in four years. The tour begins on June 11, 2026 and runs through October, covering major cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe, concluding at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
The tour will spotlight a lineup of female-led acts, including Spiritbox, Poppy, K. Flay, and Nova Twins as opening performers. Evanescence has previously collaborated with all of these artists, except Nova Twins. Full dates and locations are listed below.
Reflecting on 2025
Following a remarkable 2025, Evanescence is entering 2026 with momentum. Last year, the band joined Metallica on a stadium tour, supported major acts like My Chemical Romance and Halsey, and released singles including Fight Like a Girl and Afterlife. The band has also teased a new album, their first since 2021s The Bitter Truth.
Amy Lee on the Past Year
In an exclusive interview, frontwoman Amy Lee reflected on the highlights of 2025 and her excitement for the year ahead. Opening for Metallica in Australia and New Zealand was a milestone. Lee described it as surpassing all my expectations, noting the personal significance of performing alongside a band that inspired Evanescences sound.
Lee explained the preparation for performing to a demanding metal audience, emphasizing a shift in their set to include heavier songs and the strategic inclusion of ballads to connect with fans. She also highlighted the value of intimate shows in Australia, describing them as a soul quench and a reminder of the bands roots.
Expectations for the 2026 Tour
Fans can anticipate an energetic and engaging experience. Lee emphasized the camaraderie and talent within the band and praised the chosen opening acts. Collaborations with artists like Poppy, Courtney LaPlante, and K. Flay this year have inspired the tours lineup, and Lee expressed admiration for Nova Twins, who will be joining the tour despite no prior collaborations.
New Album Insights
The upcoming Evanescence album has been in the works for several years. Lee described it as a massive body of work reflecting current global and personal themes. Lyrics are still being refined to ensure the album conveys meaningful and relatable messages. The release is expected in early 2026, with Lee noting that finishing vocals and lyrics is a priority before fully focusing on the tour.
The album aims to balance inspiration from Evanescences early work with the bands current perspective, blending past, present, and future influences to create a fresh yet familiar sound.
Looking Ahead
After more than two decades since their breakout, Evanescence continues to innovate and excite. Lee emphasized the joy of new opportunities, the importance of embracing life, and the unique timing of the bands resurgence in popularity. The convergence of timing, culture, and fan support has paved the way for a significant 2026.
