Gavin Rossdale had a 'out of body experience' watching his sons follow in his footsteps with Gwen Stefani

Gavin Rossdale expressed immense pride in his children in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. The musician, who recently collaborated with PETA for the "Adopt, Don't Shop" initiative, discussed how his sons with ex-wife Gwen Stefani continue to impress him as they pursue creative paths similar to their parents.

"Kingston is actually recording today, finishing up his record," Rossdale said. "Its exciting, and my other son, Zuma, is an incredible singer and songwriter. He played me a new song yesterday, and it was phenomenal. Hearing my kids perform their own music is a truly surreal experience."

Rossdale, who also shares a daughter, Daisy Lowe, with ex Pearl Lowe, reflected on his past marriage to Stefani from 2002 to 2016. He candidly discussed feelings of shame and regret about the divorce during a 2024 appearance on the "Amy & T.J." podcast.

"My clearest regret stems from having an ideal of family life," he admitted. "Both of my parents were married multiple times, so I guess I had a colorful upbringing. I never imagined Id get divorced. But there are no accidents in life; everything unfolds as it should. I dont dwell on regret."

He added, "Sometimes I wish there was a stronger connection with the person I made my kids with. Thats the most challenging part, knowing my children are part of a broken home. It can be difficult for them, and I always want to ensure I dont let them down."

Despite these struggles, Rossdale treasures the moments spent with his children, particularly during holidays. "Thanksgiving is wonderful because there are no gifts and no pressure," he shared. "Now that my kids are older, we can simply enjoy being together. We also have fun with Christmas traditionsmy eldest loves Christmas music and carols. Holidays feel more meaningful through having kids."

His children have also inspired his commitment to animal welfare. Rossdale adopted a dog named Kaya and joined PETA's "Adopt, Don't Shop" campaign. "Many dogs are let down by people, often due to unavoidable life circumstances," he said. "Animals are innocent and resilient. They deserve love, care, and a home, and we can make a difference by supporting shelters rather than breeders."

Rossdale's sons remain a central inspiration in his life, motivating both his music and his advocacy efforts.
