Simone Biles Shows Off New Curly Hair Look to Support Husband Jonathan Owens at Bears Game

Olympic champion Simone Biles unveiled a striking curly hairstyle during the Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup on Friday, Nov. 28. The gymnast shared her glamorous new look in two photos on Instagram, sparking an outpouring of compliments from fans and fellow celebrities, including a playful remark from Serena Williams.

The 28-year-old gold medalist has been making fashion statements while cheering on her husband, Jonathan Owens of the Chicago Bears, but this latest ensemble might be her boldest yet. Biles paired a vibrant, playful top with voluminous curls, captioning her Instagram post on Nov. 30: "something a little different ."

In the photos, Biles appears at home in a relaxed sporty outfit that contrasts with her polished hair and makeup. She wore a gray Chicago Bears crewneck sweatshirt, dark jeans, and bold yet natural-looking makeup, including a soft smokey eye, a subtle lip, and a blue manicure. Silver jewelry, such as a hand chain, watch, and rings, completed her look.

Biles credited hairstylist Ashley Akemi, who also shared behind-the-scenes images of the transformation on Instagram. Akemi described the hairstyle: "Hair glam for @simonebiles. She looked SO GORGEOUS for the game Shes wearing my BurmeseRAW Curly 20, 22, 22 in a flip over sew in. GAGGED!! I LOVE curly hair on her ."

Fans and fellow sports partners flooded the post with praise. Marissa Lawrence, wife of Trevor Lawrence, commented, "Obsessed with this look ," while Jordyn Woods added, "Cutesyyyyy ." Laura Kruk, fiance of JuJu Smith-Schuster, wrote, "Hair is AMAZING ." Serena Williams jokingly asked, "Taller?" in reference to the fresh look. Other fans compared her style to 90s Janet Jackson, called it "everything," and even predicted modeling opportunities.

In a recent conversation with PEOPLE, Biles reflected on enjoying her break from gymnastics and attending games to support her husband. She shared, "Its such a fun time because I've actually missed so many of his games throughout his career because I've been doing my own thing. So to be there in person and to be in a different atmosphere obviously is so much fun." She emphasized her admiration for Owens journey: "Hes broken so many barriers, he was undrafted, free agent and D2 school. So, that's my main priority, just showing up and supporting my husband."
