A man has been taken into custody for allegedly planting two pipe bombs near the Republican and Democratic National Committees' headquarters just before the 6 January 2021 Capitol riots, according to sources with CBS, the BBC's US partner.
This arrest follows a nearly five-year-long investigation, which included a thorough probe and a reward of $500,000 (402,000) for information leading to the suspect's capture.
The bombs were safely neutralized, and fortunately, they did not detonate.
