JD Vance affirms that his marriage to Usha remains as solid as ever despite rumors

Vice President JD Vance has publicly stated that his marriage to Usha Vance remains as strong as ever following a wave of speculation and online rumors about their relationship. Speaking with NBC News, the Cincinnati native and Middletown, Ohio-born politician shared that he and his wife often find the rumors amusing.

With life, you take the good along with the bad. Marriage involves sacrifices, but there are also many positive aspects, Vance said. Our marriage is solid, and its been fascinating to see Usha embrace her role and grow in new ways.

The rumors intensified after Usha was seen without her wedding ring during a visit to the Camp Lejeune military base in November alongside First Lady Melania Trump. She was photographed again without the ring earlier this month, fueling further speculation.

Handling the Speculation

Vance explained that the couple often jokes privately about online chatter regarding their marriage. On one occasion, when Usha forgot her rings while rushing to a White House event, Vance said she remarked, If I dont go back, someone will make a huge deal about it online, to which he responded, Let them. Its not worth it.

He added, We actually have a little bit of fun with it. The viral social media cycle was kind of entertaining for us.

New Roles and Family Life

Married since 2014, JD and Usha Vance have three children: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and Mirabel, 3. Vance reflected on the challenges of public life, noting that the spotlight has been particularly difficult for their eldest son, who prefers privacy. Conversely, their 5-year-old enjoys the attention and special treatment that comes with public appearances.
