After months away from the spotlight due to ongoing White House renovations, First Lady Melania Trump has reappeared for the festive season. She joined President Donald Trump for the lighting of the White House Christmas tree on Thursday, December 4, in Washington, D.C., marking one of several public appearances in recent weeks.
Earlier, Melania engaged with military families and service members at Fort Lejeune on November 19 and welcomed the White House Christmas tree on November 24. The next day, she participated in the traditional ceremonial turkey pardons, showcasing her holiday enthusiasm.
Recently, the first lady has been actively involved in ceremonial events. On December 1, she attended a Red Cross holiday care package event at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, helping prepare gifts for deployed troops alongside Cheryl Hines, the wife of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Second Lady Usha Vance.
Melania also announced the creation of her production company, "Muse Films," via social media, unveiling its logo in a short video. The company's first project, a documentary titled "Melania," is scheduled to premiere in theaters nationwide on January 30, before streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film chronicles her life during the 20 days leading up to her family's return to the White House after Inauguration Day.
The White House also revealed her 2025 Christmas theme, "Home Is Where The Heart Is," on December 1. The Blue Room was decorated for an advance tour of the holiday arrangements, reflecting the first lady's festive vision.
At the National Christmas Tree Lighting on December 4, Melania appeared cheerful alongside the president, wearing a white wool coat over a blue dress. Earlier, President Trump provided insight into ongoing renovations, including plans to transform the East Wing into a 90,000-square-foot ballroom. He joked that Melania has endured constant construction noise, including daytime and nighttime pile-driving, during the project.
As the holiday season continues, Melania Trumps presence signals her renewed engagement with public events, combining festive celebrations with ceremonial duties at the White House.
