Trump's Department of Homeland Security Shares a Disgraceful Spoof of Spotify Wrapped

The Department of Homeland Security has unveiled a peculiar new method for showcasing its controversial immigration statistics: DHS Wrapped. In an unusual effort to connect with younger audiences, the official DHS X account posted a graphic Thursday that mimicked Spotifys annual Wrapped feature. Instead of music charts, the graphic displayed the administrations immigration operations along with numerical summaries that raised eyebrows.

The post declared: A year full of high stakes operations, deportations, and historic firsts. Heres what America witnessed in 2025. According to the image, the Trump administration claimed to have deported over 586,000 immigrants, while an additional 1.9 million reportedly self-deported. However, these figures are inconsistent. To reach 586,000 deportations in roughly 45 weeks, DHS would have had to remove more than 13,000 people per week, yet reports indicate the agency removes fewer than 7,500 weekly.

The number of self-deported individuals is also unclear. Last month, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated 1.6 million had left voluntarily, but the latest claim increased that figure by 300,000 in a matter of weeks. Meanwhile, only 35,000 people have used the CBP Home app to leave the country, which costs about $7,500 per self-deportation, according to recent reporting. These conflicting numbers highlight ongoing confusion over the agencys portrayal of its immigration actions.
