NBA Owner's Daughter Who Dated Aaron Rodgers Opens Up About Negative Comments After Going Viral at 2014 Draft

Mallory Edens, daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens, has opened up about the intense attention she received during the 2014 NBA Draft. At just 18, she went viral online, an experience she now describes as emotionally challenging.

Speaking on the Unlike Me podcast on December 1, the basketball heiress, who previously dated NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, said the sudden spotlight made her feel the need to protect herself. "Going really viral at such a young age put me in a place where I felt I had to shield myself because the things people were saying online were hurtful," Edens explained.

Edens reflected on how the attention shaped her public persona. "I dont know if Ive ever truly come out of that protective shell," she admitted. Despite her online recognition, she feels the public knows very little about her true self. "The biggest misconception is that people think they know me, but they really dont," she added.

The 2014 viral moment occurred when Edens attended the NBA Draft with her father, attracting widespread online attention due to her appearance. This sudden exposure left a lasting impression on her, shaping how she navigates public attention today.

Regarding her connection to Rodgers, he became a minority owner of the Bucks in 2018 while still playing for the Green Bay Packers. In January 2023, sources confirmed that Rodgers, 42, and Edens were romantically involved, describing the relationship as casual and low-key. In December 2024, Rodgers married a woman named Brittani.

Edens also spoke about her interest in the business side of basketball. She shared admiration for the work of NBA front offices and enjoys observing their operations. "I love basketball and Im open to whatever the future holds," she said, highlighting her appreciation for the sport and her fathers career.
