Michael Kors invited the fashion crowd to witness the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting

On Wednesday evening, Michael Kors checked a major New York City milestone off his list. People often ask, Youve been a New Yorker all your life and in business for decades. What havent you done? Kors shared. I had never attended the Rockefeller Center tree lighting before.

Kors didnt experience the event alone. He gathered the fashion crowd, guiding them past security and excited holiday spectators along Fifth Avenue, into Le Rock, where he hosted a festive viewing party just steps from the iconic ice rink and illuminated tree. This is the heart of Christmas, not just in New York, but globally. Were thrilled to celebrate it here, Kors said.

The celebration was conveniently located near his recently renovated Rockefeller Center flagship store. It was the perfect way to honor New York, showcase the store, and connect with friends before the holiday travels begin, he added.

For many attendees, the tree lighting was a first-time experience. Actress Emma Roberts shared, My mom suggested we come into the city for the tree lighting, and then we were invited to this stunning party. It turned into a mother-daughter night. Both carried matching sequined Michael Kors bags, with Roberts wearing a cozy holiday coat from the brand. I love a festive furry coatits definitely going into my holiday rotation, she said.

Throughout the evening, guests entered through the restaurants revolving doors, including Rachel Zegler, Zoey Deutch, Barbara Palvin, Francesca Scorsese, Olivia Jade Giannulli, Bailee Madison, Delilah Belle, Georgia Fowler, and Aulii Cravalho.

Actress Chiara Aurelia, celebrating her second New York City Christmas, commented, This is such a special event. Im excited to witness one of the citys most historic holiday moments.

Just before 10 p.m., the crowd moved outdoors, gathering near heat lamps with hot cider to watch the tree illuminate for the season. Kors, Roberts, and Deutch toasted to the moment as the DJ played the ultimate holiday anthem, Mariah Careys All I Want For Christmas Is You.
