Delta Air Lines flights, including those operated by its affiliates, are not departing or arriving at Detroit Metro Airport on Friday morning due to a possible technical malfunction that has stopped check-ins and caused long queues.
In an official update, the airport stated: Delta Air Lines is currently facing a network disruption affecting operations at the McNamara Terminal. The airline has imposed a ground stop for its flights while working to fix the issue.
The airport emphasized that this disruption is limited to Delta and does not affect other carriers. Passengers are advised to confirm their flight status directly with Delta before traveling to the airport.
Airport IT systems indicate maintenance is ongoing. The FAA has issued a ground stop until 8:30 a.m., with the possibility of an extension ranging from 30 to 60 percent.
It remains uncertain whether the earlier Cloudflare outage, which temporarily disrupted numerous websites including social platforms and service sites, is linked to Deltas network problems.
