Man arrested for attempted murder following shooting of teenager

A 26-year-old man has been formally charged with attempted murder following a shooting incident involving a 16-year-old boy in Sheffield. The teenager was discovered injured on London Road around 17:15 GMT on 24 November and was immediately taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Tanzir Ali, residing on Glencoe Road, Sheffield, faces additional charges of possessing a firearm without a certificate. Sharna Osborne, 23, from Greenhill Road, Sheffield, has been charged with assisting an offender. Both are scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court.

According to South Yorkshire Police, the charges were filed on Monday, and both Ali and Osborne have been remanded in custody. Earlier, two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and are currently on police bail. A 40-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has also been released on bail as investigations continue.

Police continue to conduct patrols around London Road, urging anyone with information to contact officers in the area.
