A 19-year-old man has been formally charged with several counts of robbery following separate incidents in Leicestershire.
Leicestershire Police responded to reports on 22 November at Bath Lane, Leicester, where a group of men reportedly entered a property and a man was assaulted with a belt.
Richile Vagnu, from Bowes Road, Southgate, London, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday. He faces nine robbery charges and one count of intentional suffocation. Authorities stated that four of the charges were linked to the Bath Lane case, while the remaining five stemmed from a separate event in the Harborough district on 21 November.
Vagnu was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 12 January.
A second 19-year-old man, initially arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released on bail.
