Sarah Ferguson is searching for a new home in Windsor as the move-out date for her and Andrew is disclosed amidst title scandal (Exclusive Source)

Sarah Ferguson is actively searching for a new home in Windsor as she prepares to leave Royal Lodge, according to an exclusive source speaking to PEOPLE. She and her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, have been assigned a move-out deadline of January 31.

The 66-year-old author and former Duchess of York will be departing the Windsor property she shared with Andrew, following King Charles unprecedented decision to revoke Andrew's royal titles and request the termination of his lease, amid renewed attention on his past links to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Ferguson, who also lost her royal title, is prioritizing homes in the Windsor area, where she has lived for many years. Shes looking for a place in Windsor, the source added. A spokesperson for Ferguson declined to comment.

The January 31 deadline adds urgency to her search. Fergusons representatives previously stated that she is considering several options for her next chapter, but no final choice has been made. Rumors suggesting she might relocate to a converted barn or annex on Princess Beatrices Cotswolds estate, or join Princess Eugenie in Portugal, have been dismissed.

Ferguson is expected to pursue her next step independently, without requesting any property or special arrangements for herself, according to another source.

Meanwhile, Andrew, 65, is set to move to a residence on King Charles Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Royal Lodge has been a significant location for the family, hosting events such as Princess Eugenies evening wedding reception in 2018 and Princess Beatrices Windsor wedding in 2020. However, their long-term occupancy had come under scrutiny, including reports that rent had not been paid for over twenty years.
