AL ZAHRA, Gaza Motorcycles and off-road vehicles tore across the sweeping sand dunes, overlooking camps and ruins in the Gaza Strip. Dozens of young men performed daring stunts, spinning and lifting the front wheels of their bikes as engines roared.
Before the conflict began, these dunes in central Gazas Al Zahra town were a popular Friday gathering spot for local youth. Now, amid a fragile ceasefire, residents are attempting to bring back elements of everyday life, reconnecting with past traditions.
