Israeli Defense Forces and Border Police react to reports of settlers hurling rocks and setting cars on fire in the West Bank.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Border Police intervened following reports that masked settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles and set tires on fire near the Shilo junction in the West Bank.

On Thursday afternoon, after an Israeli outpost in the vicinity was evacuated, settlers reportedly threw stones at Palestinian cars and ignited tires along Highway 60. The incidents left several Palestinians injured and caused damage to at least one vehicle. Authorities are currently conducting searches in the area to identify the perpetrators.

Later in the day, firefighters were called to respond after settlers reportedly set a Palestinian car ablaze and assaulted its passengers. The IDF confirmed that one Palestinian woman managed to escape from the burning vehicle but suffered from smoke inhalation and received treatment from the Red Crescent near the Eli settlement.

The situation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to investigate the incidents of settler violence in the region.
