‘A Deceptive and Fearful Person’: Candace Owens Criticized for Avoiding Event on Charlie Kirk Assassination Conspiracies

Candace Owens is under heavy criticism after announcing she would not attend a live event meant to confront the conspiracy theories she has circulated regarding Charlie Kirks assassination. The event, organized by The Charlie Kirk Show, was intended to clarify and rebut false claims surrounding Kirks death.

Blake Neff, producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, strongly criticized Owens for spreading what he described as lies and reckless insinuations. Neff highlighted that Owens had accused Turning Point USA staff, Turning Point Action personnel, and Kirks close associates of complicity in his murder, implying betrayal and suggesting that some might want to harm her for knowing the truth.

Neff outlined the upcoming plan for a livestream in Phoenix to systematically address all allegations against Kirks family, friends, and colleagues. Owens was invited to participate in person, but she responded that December 15th and the proposed time conflicted with her podcast schedule and personal commitments, offering instead to join virtually.

Observers were unimpressed with Owenss response, noting her previous statement allowing TPUSA to choose any time and place for the discussion. Neff confirmed the event would proceed without her attendance in person.

Social media users quickly reacted, calling Owens a coward and criticizing her for backing out despite previously asserting she would participate anytime, anywhere. Commentators pointed out that she appeared to use the invitation to frame herself as a potential target rather than genuinely engaging in the discussion.

Critics emphasized that Owenss decision undermined her credibility and questioned her commitment to confronting the conspiracy claims she has promoted. Many highlighted the contrast between her bold statements online and her reluctance to participate in a direct, in-person conversation with TPUSA leadership.

The livestream will take place on December 15 at 4 pm Eastern, 2 pm local time in Phoenix, where Kirks associates will respond to Owenss claims, with or without her in-person participation.
