BuzzFeed has named Brian Moreno, formerly a video producer at Paramount Global and TMZ, as the new head of video editorial for its Tasty brand. Moreno will collaborate with Ross Yoder, who serves as Tastys head of editorial, to guide the creative direction and vision of Tastys video content.
In his new role, Moreno will oversee video production across digital platforms, including social media channels and FAST networks. Yoder, who has led Tastys editorial team since January, is responsible for strategy across Tasty-owned platforms such as tasty.co and the Tasty app. Both executives report directly to BuzzFeeds head of video, Peter Grumbine.
Moreno brings 15 years of experience blending food, lifestyle, and celebrity-focused content. At Paramount, he served as an executive video producer, managing digital distribution and strategy for CBS shows including The Drew Barrymore Show, The Rachael Ray Show, Entertainment Tonight, and Inside Edition. Previously, Moreno spent six years as a digital video producer at TMZ.
Yoder has been part of BuzzFeed since 2021, initially working as a senior editor for the food and home sections before moving to Tasty. His background includes freelance recipe development and food styling for brands and publishers such as Simply Recipes, as well as production work for TV, film, and theater with Ars Nova Entertainment in New York.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Tasty produces both long- and short-form video content. Its library now includes more than 7,500 recipes. Notable long-form series include Tasty 101, which offers step-by-step cooking guides, and You Are What You Eat, where host Joelle Park experiments with eating like people from different professions, nationalities, and eras. Short-form content features 30- to 60-second recipe videos such as Garlic Girlies, Personal Pours, Tasty Tries, and We Tested 50.
BuzzFeed announced plans for new Tasty shows and content in 2026. Additionally, Tasty partnered with the Instacart Developer Platform to introduce shoppable recipes for home cooks through the Tasty app.
