The Chief Pleas and Sark Electricity Limited (SEL) have reached an agreement to appoint Begbies Traynor as the official valuer under the compulsory purchase framework. The Policy and Finance Committee of the Government of Sark confirmed that the precise methodology and valuation criteria will be determined during a court hearing.
The court will set the date for this hearing, which is expected to occur in January 2026. This decision comes after the Chief Pleas submitted a formal request to the Court of the Seneschal on 31 October to appoint a valuer for the process.
