Aubrie Sellers and Ashley Monroe Collaborate on Dreamy New Single 'Delusional' — Exclusive Premiere!

Fans can now get an exclusive first listen to Aubrie Sellers' latest single, "Delusional", which includes a collaboration with Ashley Monroe. Sellers shared that although she and Monroe have been friends for years, this marks the first and only song they have co-written together.

Following her October release of "Villain of the Week", Sellers is venturing into psychedelic rock territory with this new track. "Delusional" pairs airy vocals with looping guitar riffs set against a dreamy, vintage-inspired backdrop. The song delves into the sometimes surreal feelings that come with love and dating, capturing the sense of constructing your own reality. Sellers chorus, "Maybe I'm delusional, but I want you," is layered over a swirl of energetic guitars.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Sellers, 34, explained, "We spent the day in her writing office, ordered food, and shared thoughts on poetry and idealism in love. Listening to 'Just Me and You' by the Dreamliners helped set this dreamy, slightly eerie vibe."

Musically, Sellers says the track draws inspiration from The Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin" combined with influences from The Dreamliners and Ty Segall. Monroe, 39, described the process as liberating: "We embraced all the weird, goth, and angelic elements. Singing with Aubrie, one of my favorite voices, was truly special. Who says being delusional has to be negative?"

"Delusional" follows Sellers gritty, garage-rock single "Villain of the Week," continuing her exploration of the complexities and quirks of modern romance.
