Sydney Sweeney Denies Getting Plastic Surgery, Costar Amanda Seyfried Offers Support

Sydney Sweeney is setting the record straight about her appearance. During a "Truth Serum" segment with Allure, released on YouTube on Thursday, December 4, her The Housemaid co-star Amanda Seyfried asked her, "What is one beauty rumor about yourself that you want to debunk right now?"

"Let's debunk them all," replied the 28-year-old Euphoria actress. "I have never gotten work done. I am extremely afraid of needles, more than anyone can imagine."

Seyfried, 40, who has openly discussed using Botox over the years, commented, "It really works as you get older. Trust me on that." However, Sweeney remained firm, emphasizing that she has never altered her appearance. "You cannot compare a photo of me at 12 to one at 26 with professional makeup and lighting," she said. "Naturally, I look different! Social media expectations are completely unrealistic."

Seyfried playfully encouraged Sweeney, saying, "When you do decide to get something done, call me. Ill give you a little Ativan for the nerves, and youll be excited. But you dont need it yet."

Sweeney explained further why she hasnt had any procedures. "If I did, my face would be symmetrical," she said. "One eyelid opens slightly differently than the other. I had a wakeboarding accident when I was younger and needed 19 stitches, so it affects the way my eye looks."

Previously, Sweeney shared with Variety that she was advised to try Botox at just 16 years old. "Someone told me to fix my face or I wouldnt make it. They suggested Botox," she recalled.

Despite the pressure from the industry, Sweeney has remained committed to staying natural, reinforcing that her unique features and personal choices are entirely her own.
