Sydney Sweeney swaps her new bob hairstyle for a glamorous blowout at 'The Housemaid' premiere in New York

Sydney Sweeney stunned on the red carpet Tuesday night in New York City, trading her recently debuted bob for voluminous, blonde curls at the premiere of her upcoming movie, The Housemaid. With stylist Glen Oropezas guidance, the 33-year-old actress fused her character Millie Calloways style with her own, sporting long, platinum extensions and lively, springy curls.

It has been just over a month since Sweeney first introduced her chic bob at the AFI Fest 2025 premiere of Christy. At that event, she took a daring step, chopping her hair above the shoulders and refreshing the color to a striking platinum, courtesy of celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz. Oropeza later explained to WWD that the dramatic change stemmed from boredom.

Both of us had become a little bored, Oropeza said. We needed a cut to take it to the next level and make it feel different. We both wanted a color she had never tried before. This shade of blonde is unlike anything shes donevery dimensional yet bright.

Standing alongside co-star Amanda Seyfried outside the premiere, the duo appeared almost like twins. Seyfrieds curls, however, were looser and brushed out, styled by celebrity hair expert Renato Campora. Together, they opted for an early 2000s-inspired side part, with Campora sweeping Seyfrieds brown roots across from the left to the right side of her head. Seyfried had previously experimented with both middle and side parts, including a neat middle part for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier that week.

The premiere showcased not only Sweeney and Seyfried but also other stars including Olivia Ponton, with everyone delivering a mix of modern glamour and cinematic style. The event highlighted the striking transformations and polished looks of the actresses as they celebrated The Housemaid in the heart of New York City.
