Bert Kreischer's Netflix Series 'Free Bert' Set to Release in January, Revealed First-Look Images

Netflix is set to debut Bert Kreischers new scripted comedy series Free Bert in January. The streaming platform has shared six exclusive first-look images from the show, with only one showcasing Kreischer shirtless, highlighting a rare moment of restraint.

The six-episode series, developed by Kreischer along with Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel, features Kreischer portraying a fictionalized version of himself. The official synopsis explains: Bert Kreischer shirtless comedian, party legend, perpetual wildcard faces unfamiliar challenges when his daughters gain admission to a prestigious Beverly Hills private school. When his chaotic behavior makes his family social outcasts, he opts to put on a shirt and tone down his true self to fit in better.

The cast includes previously announced members Arden Myrin (The Righteous Gemstones, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Ava Ryan (Keeping Up With the Joneses), and newcomer Lilou Lang portraying Kreischers family. Myrin plays a character sharing the name of Kreischers real-life wife. New additions to the ensemble are Christine Horn, Chris Witaske, Mandell Maughan, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, Robert Jon Mello, Braxton Alexander, Matthew Del Negro, and Noshir Dalal.

Paul and Mogel are serving as showrunners, writers, and directors, with Kreischer, LeeAnn Kreischer, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson, and Judi Marmel listed as executive producers. Kreischer, a mainstay on Netflix with five stand-up specials including 2025s Lucky, praised the platform in a February interview, noting its supportive, hands-off approach to creators.

In addition to his television work, Kreischer and his wife LeeAnn run Berty Boy Productions, producing the podcasts Bertcast, Somethings Burning, and Wife of the Party, as well as the Fully Loaded Comedy Festival. He also co-hosts the podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave with Tom Segura.

Netflix viewers can preview the first images from Free Bert ahead of the series premiere in January.
