BLACKPINK's LISA to star alongside in 'Extraction' Universe action film 'Tygo' for Netflix

BLACKPINK member LISA is set to take on a major acting role in an upcoming Netflix action film. The movie, titled Tygo, will feature Korean action star Don Lee, known for Train to Busan and Eternals, alongside Squid Game actor Lee Jin-uk.

The project is inspired by an original graphic novel created by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, and Ande Parks. The Russo brothers will also serve as producers. The story centers on Tygo (played by Don Lee), a former child soldier turned mercenary, who embarks on a revenge mission through Koreas criminal underworld after a mission goes awry.

LISA expressed her excitement about joining the cast, stating that participating in an action movie has long been a dream and that debuting in such a thrilling project feels particularly meaningful. Director Lee Sang-yong, known for The Roundup, will helm the film.

Don Lee commented on the production, emphasizing the films unique Korean perspective within the global Extraction universe and his enthusiasm for finally bringing the project, developed with AGBO, into production. Lee Jin-uk added that joining the franchise is an honor and highlighted his excitement about working with both Don Lee and LISA.

LISA, whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, previously made her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus. The first Extraction film reached 90 million households in its first month, while the sequel dominated Netflixs Global Top 10 for seven weeks with over 123 million views.
