Diddy's spokesperson accuses theft in 50 Cent-promoted Netflix series

The long-standing conflict between 50 Cent and Diddy has taken a new turn as the imprisoned rapper challenges the streaming release of his rivals latest Netflix documentary. They accused both 50 Cent and Netflix of exploiting content without consent, labeling it a shameful hit piece. The statement emphasized that Netflix had accessed footage Diddy had been collecting since his teenage years to chronicle his life on his own terms.

The statement further argued that giving 50 Cent creative control over the series was inappropriate due to his long-standing personal vendetta and history of defaming Diddy.

Director Denies Allegations of Unauthorized Use

Contrary to Diddys claims, the documentarys director, Alexandria Stapleton, asserted that all footage was legally obtained and rights were secured. Stapleton described Diddys habit of self-recording as a long-standing obsession and noted that repeated attempts to interview Diddy or his legal team went unanswered.

The two rappers originally connected as colleagues in the 1990s, collaborating on music projects including 50 Cent ghostwriting for Diddys 2001 hit.
