George Clooney has never shied away from playing elaborate tricks on his Hollywood colleagues. At 64, the actor has built a reputation for pranking some of the biggest names in the industry, including Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. However, one of his most audacious stunts involved impersonating a former American President.

During a December 3 appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by NBA stars Travis and Jason Kelce, Clooney recounted how he orchestrated a presidential-themed prank for a group of actors. The Oceans star admitted that he managed to fool 30 actors using this scheme.

The setup came courtesy of TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who provided Clooney with stationery bearing Bill Clintons name and the presidential seal. Clooney then used these materials to pose as the former President, sending personalized notes to actors about films that had not performed well, making them believe Clinton had praised their work.

Jimmy Kimmel gave me a stack of stationery with a presidential seal and Bill Clintons name on it, Clooney shared. Id send notes to actors from Bill Clinton, picking movies that werent very successful and writing, I loved you in this film.

While the involvement of a former President makes this prank particularly legendary, Clooney has pulled off many other tricks over the years. On the same podcast, he revealed a prank on Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep, where he pretended to be his Oceans co-star Brad Pitt. He sent Streep a set of dialect training CDs, claiming they were from Pitt to help with accents, complete with a humorous note.

Dear Meryl, from Brad. This guy helped me with my accent in the movie Troy, and I thought maybe you could use it, Clooney explained. And I sent her this book of accents from Brad Pitt.

Even at 64, Clooney continues to demonstrate a playful spirit, proving that his talent for inventive pranks shows no sign of fading.
