George Clooney Pretended to be Brad Pitt to Fool This Hollywood Legend

George Clooney shared the story of how he pretended to be Brad Pitt in order to fool one of Hollywoods most acclaimed actresses. Speaking on the show New Heights, Clooney detailed the playful scheme.

He explained that he sent a humorous gift under Brad Pitts name, complete with fake personalized stationery, to Meryl Streep. Clooney said, I had Brad Pitt stationery that Kimmel gave me I sent Meryl a set of dialect CDs, writing, Dear Meryl, from Brad this guy helped me with my accent in Troy, and I thought you might find it useful.

According to Clooney, Streep only discovered the prank four years later when he confessed in person.

The actor shared other elaborate jokes he has pulled over the years, including sending congratulatory letters to actors on mediocre performances using fake presidential stationery from Bill Clinton. He suspected some recipients may have even framed these letters, unaware they were fake.

These antics reflect Clooneys long-standing love of practical jokes, often involving Brad Pitt, with whom he enjoys a friendly rivalry. During his appearance on New Heights with hosts Jason and Travis Kelce, Clooney also talked about his friendship with Pitt and confirmed plans for another Oceans movie, stating, Yeah, were scouting locations. Everythings been agreed to Weve got a really good script.

The Streep prank is just one example of Clooneys humorous side. He acknowledged the playful exchanges with Pitt, saying, Weve done a lot of terrible things to each other. Hes done terrible things to me. Despite these jokes, their relationship remains strong and amicable.
