He revealed that he had pulled the same joke on 30 different actors, using the help of a well-known television host, Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel provided Clooney with stationery featuring the presidential seal and the name of former President Bill Clinton. Clooney then used it to pose as Clinton, sending actors compliments on films that had not been particularly successful, making them believe the former president admired their work.

Jimmy Kimmel gave me a stack of stationery with a presidential seal and Bill Clintons name on it, Clooney said. I sent notes to all these actors from Bill Clinton, signing them and praising a movie that wasnt great, writing I loved you in this film.

The prank stands out as one of Clooneys most remarkable, given the involvement of a former U.S. President. Yet, he has continued to create mischief using his co-stars. On the same podcast, he described tricking Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep by pretending to be his Wolfs co-star, Brad Pitt. Clooney forged Pitts signature and sent Streep a set of dialect learning CDs along with a humorous note.

Though 64 now, Clooneys history of pranking suggests he still has the creativity and wit to surprise his Hollywood peers with clever stunts.
