Kim Kardashian Explains Her Rapid Decision to Share That She Didn't Pass the Bar Exam

Kim Kardashian has opened up about her decision to publicly share the outcome of her California bar exam. In July, she took the exam and, in November, revealed to her followers that she did not pass.

Discussing her choice to be transparent, the SKIMS founder explained that she wanted to address the results herself before they appeared online. "I took a moment to process it, but as soon as I saw the results, I knew I wanted to be upfront with everyone," she said in an interview with Time Magazine, in support of her new MasterClass, The New Rules of Business: The Ten Kimmandments.

Kardashian admitted that failing the exam initially left her feeling "uncomfortable and lacking confidence." Yet, she emphasized that the experience motivated her to continue. "I know what I can improve on," she said. "Ive learned how to turn a setback into progress, and I dont have time to dwell on it. A brief moment of self-pity is okay, but then its back to studying."

In her Instagram Stories, Kardashian addressed the outcome with humor, stating, "Im not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV." She reaffirmed her commitment to becoming a lawyer: "Six years into this journey, Im fully committedno shortcuts, no giving up, just more effort and determination. I appreciate everyone who has supported me."

Before receiving her results, she had shared on The Graham Norton Show that her ultimate goal is to practice law. "Maybe in 10 years, Ill transition from Kim K to a trial lawyer," she said. She also commented on the misleading advice of several psychics who predicted she would pass the exam, calling their guidance unreliable.

Despite the setback, Kardashian remains focused on her goal, determined to study harder and eventually succeed in becoming a licensed attorney.
