Meghan Markle's Pal Exposes Behind-the-Scenes Netflix Holiday Special Surprise

Meghan Markle recently hosted a festive gathering with two of her closest friends for a wreath-making activity, captured on camera for her Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. The event featured Meghan, Lindsay Jill Roth, and Kelly McKee sharing laughs and enjoying each others company.

Upon arriving on set, Lindsay immediately felt the atmosphere was more like a family holiday gathering than a TV production. Jill described the off-camera moments as the highlight of the day. The vibe was incredible, she said. When I arrived, Meghan was already filming, but I received a big hug from both the makeup artist and the photographer, longtime friends of mine. Seeing Kelly instantly made it feel like a family dayso warm, so fun, so easy. We were just ourselves.

Jill and Meghan have been friends for over 25 years, having first met in a Toni Morrison literature class at college. Despite taking different life paths, their bond has remained strong. We laugh a lot, Jill shared. Theres always been this unwavering support for each other. Finding someone you can be completely yourself with is rare.

During the wreath-making session, Jill noticed Prince Harry with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, off-camera. Though they werent filmed, the children were excited to be part of the experience behind the scenes. I dont get to see them often, Jill said. Seeing Archie, giving him a big cuddle, and hugging Harry for a few moments was such a lovely surprise.

While the younger royals were kept off-camera, the Duke of Sussex made a brief appearance in the special. In a lighthearted moment, as Meghan prepared her mother Doria Raglands traditional Christmas Eve gumbo, Harry mentioned he preferred her mothers version. Meghan initially feigned offense but later admitted it would delight her mother.
