Prince Harry appeared in Meghan Markles latest Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, now available for streaming. The episode showcases a Christmas Eve dinner that was filmed weeks before the holiday.

During the festive segment, Meghan prepares her familys traditional gumbo, a recipe passed down from her mother, Doria Ragland. Harry sampled the dish and praised its flavor, noting that he particularly enjoys his mother-in-laws version. He humorously remarked that he prefers it before certain ingredients are added, which Meghan confirmed by saying her mother often saves a portion on the side just for him. Ragland even adapts the recipe with turkey sausage to match Harrys taste.

After tasting the spicier version prepared for the show, Harry gave a positive reaction but joked that the heat was intense, describing it as delicious yet admitting, I am not so sure its as good as your moms, but its certainly close. Meghan playfully feigned offense on camera, later adding that her mother would appreciate the compliment as a thoughtful gesture.
