Monica Playfully Takes Ray J's Phone at The Boy Is Mine Tour After He Mentioned Beyoncé & Jay-Z

Earlier this week, Ray J sparked online chatter by criticizing Beyonc and Jay-Z, and Monica had the perfect response. During the Atlanta stop of her and Brandys co-headlining The Boy Is Mine Tour on Thursday, she teased from the stage, Before we leave, Im taking Ray Js phone. Ray J, hand it over give me the phone, Ray.

After she finally got the phone from him, Monica laughed and clarified she was just joking. We love you, Ray J, she said. Give it up for Ray J, hes not only Brandys brother but mine too. Brandy added with a smile, I guess Ill hear Monica is my sister now! all night.

The playful moment came just two days after Ray J criticized The Carters for reportedly avoiding photos with Brandy backstage at the tour, despite attending several shows. He expressed disappointment, saying, Were fans, weve got our family here, and we see you there For you to come to every show and not say hi or take pictures, I dont like it.

Beyonc, who attended tour stops in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Newark, shared photos from her appearances on her website and Instagram. Some images were backstage shots featuring Monica, Solange, Patti LaBelle, and tour guest Kelly Rowland. Neither Beyonc nor Jay-Z has publicly responded to Ray Js remarks.

On November 27, Ray J was briefly taken into custody by Los Angeles police for allegedly making a criminal threat involving his ex-wife, Princess Love. He was released on a $50,000 bond the same night.

Brandy and Monicas The Boy Is Mine Tour continues on Friday at New Orleans Smoothie King Center and will later visit Houston, Tampa, and Miami.
