'Paradise' Announces Season 2 Premiere Date and Sterling K. Brown's Destination

During the Paradise panel at Brazil Comic Con (CCXP), Fogelman confirmed that the new season will premiere on February 23 with three episodes initially, followed by weekly releases on Hulu and Hulu with Disney+.

A teaser trailer reveals that Sterling K. Browns character, Xavier Collins, will leave the central bunker to search for his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma), who he previously believed had died. The story explores the world outside the bunker, where survivors have endured since the apocalyptic event, and Xavier faces significant challenges in his mission.

The trailer also hints at the return of James Marsden as the late President Cal Bradford, introduces newcomer Shailene Woodley, and shows the possible return of Jon Beavers character, Billy. Additionally, the villain Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson) delivers a dramatic line: It was never just about the bunker.

Season Two Overview

Xavier ventures out to find Teri and uncovers how people survived the three years since the global catastrophe known as The Day. Meanwhile, back in Paradise, tensions rise as the bunkers community grapples with the fallout from season one, revealing new secrets about the citys origins.

Fogelman described the series as a three-season story, explaining that season two serves as the middle part of a trilogy while maintaining its own narrative arc. He emphasized that the story spans multiple genres and is larger than it currently appears.

The main cast includes Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Recurring appearances feature Marsden, Woodley, Doherty, and Jon Beavers. Paradise is created and executive produced by Fogelman, alongside Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, and John Requa. The series is produced by 20th Television.
